Absolutely. Had to move the XM antenna out onto the hood of the truck to get reliable reception. Same with the antenna for the GPS unit. Although the GPS worked after a fashion with the camper on the truck it was much more accurate once it had a strong signal.
I thought about mounting both antennas on the roof of the camper but decided the hassle of routing the leads down into the truck and then having to connect/disconnect each time I mounted or dismounted the camper wasn't worth it.
