Around here there are plenty of places that you can pick up exactly 1 radio station on FM.
With the new "stealth" antennas on cars these days they pick up FM even worse than before. My wife's Buick has no visible antenna and the reception on FM is terrible.
OP,
I have my magnetic antenna mounted in the center of my hood back towards the wind shield. I leave it there and use it there all the time.
If I have the camper on and I go under a bridge while traveling north I will briefly loose the signal. Otherwise, it's solid. I guess if I moved it out to the front of the hood it would fix that but it's not that big a deal.
