Not sure whyStirCrazy throwing dieeel into the mix. That just complicates the scenario as it wasn’t part of it to begin with and will cost more apples to apples than a gasser which is sufficient based on the years of @Oregun posts.
because if you use some commen sense, diesel 1 ton DRW and even SRW outsell gas 10 to 1 so it is much easier to find a used diesel. also, if looking to keep cost down on a vehicle then getting a 12 year old diesel with say 180000miles is a lot better option than a gas motor wit 180000miles in a truck you know has been used for hauling or towing.
