- RbertalottoExplorerFinally built the indoor portable shower for my PopUp TC. Works fantastic! I'll take pictures an post under another thread.
- Buzzcut1Nomad IIactivated the Direc TV reciever for the camper and hooked up the portable self locating FLEX satellite antenna. Now Ruth has TV on the road and can watch her shows at night. I guess will be spending more time outside in the folding chair.
But a happy wife..... - CAJWExplorerCleaned up our rig today after a 10 day, 3500 mile trip where we encountered 3 large storms, the beast was filthy! Especially the back end and after stopping twice at RV washes out on the road, only to get rained on again within 24 hours, we gave up trying to keep it clean. While washing the back end, I directed the hose toward the Genset (Onan 2500) and it fired up without touching anything! Luckily the propane was turned off so it fired and quit right away after burning the fuel in the line. Be aware that the engine mounted switch is not as waterproof as one would think and a blast of water will short it out and cause it to start. At least on mine it did!
- exhaustipatedExplorerLast Monday on my way home from being gone for two months travelling the country in my TC with the DW, I stopped in a town to have the aluminum bumper on my camper welded since the original weld from the factory broke and was causing the bumper to sag when entering and exiting the camper. The guys at the welding shop noticed that there was another weld that was about to break and they did a great job welding both breaks and the bumper is rock solid now.
- KidooExplorerI repaired the Happijac card. The grounding point came loose and I took it to a TV shop repair. They resolded the joint by buffing the card to the copper and made a much bigger and tough solder.

I reinstalled the repaired Happijac motor on one jack and plugged the shore power in to top up the batteries.
I had a motor repaired also at a Starter and Alternator repair shop. He took it apart, cleaned it, sealed it, and it was working again - bens170Explorerskipro3
I live in a desert type environment, unfortunately I have an approimxate 20 degree slope on the left side of the truck & TC. I like your suggestion.
Ben - Ski_Pro_3ExplorerThere may be a couple options;
1. Can the jacks be lowered in their brackets on the camper so they are closer to the ground? Perhaps an extension bracket to mount the jacks in a lower position on the camper.
2. get a couple rail road ties, lay them on the ground and lower the jacks to the ties. for more stability, lag bolt a cross beam 2x4 across the back of the two railroad ties, forming a U shape you back up to and lower the jacks on. The cross beam keeps the railroad ties from shifting.
If on a dirt area, dig a couple trenches for your tires so the jacks are closer to the ground, unload, then drive up and out of the trenches.
