- narcodogExplorer IIGave the rig rig a good washing. I found my escape hatch cover cracked at four rivets. JB Weld to the rescue, maybe.
- jtlingo123ExplorerI've been a busy little bee!
I finished painting all the ugly grey window trim around the TC.
The brown stripes will be painted metallic black next.
Now I'm removing the leaking front window that was already cracked in the first place.
I'm going to put a sheet of diamond plate across the whole area to help clean it up and make it look flashy!!!
I'm also replacing the inside paneling and insulating it with the white foam board, pink foam still to expensive for me!
I'm also removing all of the pink fiberglass insulation I can in the cabover area as I go.

- MKishExplorer IITook it to the Ford dealer to get the truck's computer fixed so it would stop threatening to limit the speed to 50 MPH from a non-existent diesel exhaust fluid fault.
I have a feeling those guys do not get trucks wearing campers too often. :) - mountainkowboyExplorerWatched it rock in the gail force winds we are having
- 1stgenfarmboyExplorerfixed my leaky bathroom faucets in my lance one piece bathroom by going through the onboard outside battery box, very simple and easy.
- portscannerExplorerI was given a 50 watt solar panel and controller and I got them installed. Set up the wiring so I could easily add more panels later. 50 watts is probably not enough for keeping the batteries up when winter camping (due to the furnace all night) but more than enough for our style of camping in spring and fall. Also will hold the batteries up when the TC is not in use.

Thanks for all the advise for Alaska trip. We've done the highway a few times but always on a schedule. Now that everyday is a Saturday (how do you say retired?) we'll take our time. Should be a whole different experience.
Waxed the camper and both trucks today. Forgot just how much surface area there is on a even a small SquireLite camper :-( Yes, everything will get dirty on the trip, but at least we'll start with a clean rig!
Also tried a tip we got from another RV newsgroup. The rubber trim around two windows on the camper was still flexible but shrunk some. Pulled the rubber trim out, boiled it in water with a little vegetable oil for 3 minutes. Stretched rubber trim as it cooled. Fit back in perfectly with no gaps. The person on the other newsgroup said this was an old auto body shop trick! We'll see if it stays or quickly shrinks back.
Mine also shrunk a bit, I will try this trick, Thanks.
