- bighatnohorseExplorer IIBagged and tarp'd the camper until next use.
Bagging is getting easier - I only have to get on the roof one time to layout the bag.
The tarp is put on by throwing a heavier rope over the roof middle - its attached to the middle draw string - then pulling the tarp up and over the side of the camper.
This is easy to do because the bag already smooths out potential snags.
Next, from the ground, I use an extension pole (for window washing) to poke and prod the tarp corners and edges into position.
The draw strings are extra long to help in the endeavor.
With no wind, it takes about ten minutes to get the tarp on.
I prefer to have a few loose tarp edges so that breeze can lift and billow the tarp - it air circulates and tosses any accumulated moisture.
Tarp is cheap and has a one to two year life span.
- noxinnhojExplorerjust went out front to check on my tc,dont think rubber roofs and fireworks are a good combo, happy Halloween!!looking forward to going down to Washington state(birch bay state park)for our rememberance day long weekend!

- mark_beExplorerInstalled a new kitchen faucet in a hurry, because the original quit working. Went to Disneyland Paris the next day, a day later than planned and stayed there for 3 nights. We only planned for 2 nights, but the storm made us change plans. We stayed inside the whole day and waited for the storm to pass. The next day was wonderful weather, much better to walk around in the park.
Today I'm winterizing the tc. - exhaustipatedExplorerWashed, waxed and winterized the t/c last weekend.
- Victory402ExplorerLoaded it for her maiden voyage :)
- RockyRoadCamperExplorerWinterized my t/c. Everything went well.
- Just did a job I've been putting off for some time now. Replaced both the black and gray water dump valves in our Lance SquireLite 165 camper and installed a new flush valve in the Thetford Aqua IV commode. Got 16 years of service from all of the original valves so can't really complain. The commode had a small leak from the valve when connected to city water (even with a water pressure regulator).
With the commode out it was a simple job to flush the black water tank and successfully remove "deposits" and TP from the sensors so the gauge now reports correctly (at least for now). Thank goodness for stubby wrenches and lots of patience, because at 6 FT and 225 # there's not much room in the restroom. Rubber gloves, face mask, and eye protection were also critical to a safe job. - bighatnohorseExplorer IIRemoved both rear entry door windows and frame from my 2008 Arctic Fox 1140.
Switched the clear glass to the upper window opening.
And the frosted glass to the lower window opening.
Both exterior window frames badly yellowed.
Removed them to shop.
Clean and spray painted (Krylon rattle can) to a new white color.
Noted moisture intrusion through the lower window frame to the door interior structure due to dried out polyurethane caulking.
Applied new caulking to both frames.
Assembled as needed.
Looks like new. - Stars101Explorer
