- briansueExplorerJust happened to notice a house by where we are staying in an RV park has an ISB unit on the outside by the front door. Many houses have them but you just don't see them. Many businesses have them too. Hard wired to the electric entrance point of the house. Probably can't get a great look in the size picture but you can probably see what it is.
- cross_countryExplorerreset button pushed ; see edit
- cross_countryExplorertrue, there are no plugs. you need the RV plugs for the pedestal and the one to plug into the rv line. you also need the inserts that hold and protect the wire going and exiting the box. and you require enough 30 amp cable to get where your mounting the box and still be able to get to the pedestal. inside the box there are holes with screws to secure incoming and outgoing hots and neutrals;there is a common ground.
Yes, there is a reset button on the 50/1 eco wise too. I pushed it and shut off the power to the motorhome. It took at least 2 minutes to sort itself out (shuffling noises) before the power came back on. The reset button is wired into a circuit board. - briansueExplorerISB does appear to have a US website but apparently only sell their ballasts in the US but do not appear to sell the voltage regulators in the US. On the website is a TX location. Maybe they would know if it is possible to get a regulator in the US?
http://www.solaballast.com/index.html - briansueExplorerFound USA info and more .pdf files to download - still no specific info - could be they price better in US? Appears they have distributors in TX as well as FL.

they do have .pdf files you can download such as the instruction manual. It appears to me they do have to be wired just as the ISB device must be wired. They are meant to be hardwired into a residence and not used in an RV so I seriously doubt they have a plug option.
I still cannot find anything on their website that indicates in anyway just what specific low or high voltage are corrected to - what levels can it still get you into the 120 volt range - how high or low will it correct to 120? No info I can find. The ISB website does get very specific - and the ISB cost quite a bit less. - pianotunaNomad IIII'll be hoping to get the 50 amp version to use on a 30 amp RV. That should give me lots of "head room".
What sort of male and female plugs are on them? - cross_countryExplorerThe 30 amp model has a red reset button on the outside bottom. I imagine this is a breaker; I know this as Jack tripped his and reset it. I'll have to look closely at the 50 amp model as I did not see a reset button. As far as we could figure, jack's tripped when he exceeded more than 30 amps turned on in the motorhome. (he is on a 40 amp breaker pedestal.)
I should mention that moish (sp) is quite correct in that the 50 amp model as well as the 30 only have a hot , neutral and ground going in from the pedestal and the same going out of the ecowise; there are no 2 hot legs coming off the unit. - pianotunaNomad IIIDo they have a circuit breaker or a fuse?
- Boise_JohnExplorerI bought it at the Tepic Home Depot $ 411.00 us
