- BillMFlExplorerWhere in the Appalachins do you want to go. They basically start in North Georgia and extend all the way to Maine in the US. Pick a destination that is more specific.
- Roman_DuckExplorersounds like you know where your heading, go for it
- BillMFlExplorerMy way would be I95, Richmond bypass then 17 at Fredticksburg to I81 all the way to Binghamton then I88 Schenectady/Albany area. No tolls or big city traffic to this point. From here it depends on where in the Andirondacks you want to go. You can pick up Rt 30 in just a few miles and go right up the middle of the park. Lots of nice state parks and privatr campgrounds. I87 will take you up the east side if you want to get NE. I love this park in spring or fall. Busy in summer.
- pitchExplorer IIDo you mean Adirondacks or the Appalachians? The Adirondacks are completely contained in NY. The Appalachians run from Georgia to Maine.
The Adirondacks is more of a destination with its main attractions being hiking and climbing. Roads within the Preserve are few.
Here is another link to the region.

sorry don't know how to do the clicky thingy.
Go up US301 in FL, then I-95. Avoid DC if you don't want to stop there by heading up to I-81 at Richmond VA.
