I will add not to expect good cell coverage also. The lodge has a pretty good restaurant.

I would most likely do US-70, Sparta TN tO Crossville TN and pick up I-40 there. Going to Cookeville is good, just a few more miles.
Be sure you have what you need before you get to FCF, it's about as far from anywhere as you get in Tennessee. Walmart in Dunlap just south of TN-111.

Take I-24 west from Chattanooga to exit 155. Then take TN-28 north to TN-111. This will avoid going up and over Signal Mountain. Still a good pull up the Cumberland Plateau out of Dunlap TN. And as mentioned above, do not take TN-30 to the north side of the park.

Have you been on the TN State Parks web site for making a res. and seeing if there is even an opening when you want to go? FCF is the most popular park in the state I understand and can be hard to get into. The web site has interactive maps in which you can get the info on every site in the campground as to depth, width, level or incline and amp service, even a picture, all you need to know. I have not been there myself so I can't speak as to the road but as others have said you should have no problems. Just check the web site and go from there.

Our TM is 20 foot closed, interior roads no problem, Camp sites big problem. Nice park though.

How did you find the site length?

TV is a 04 F250 in my sig. Several sites where length is no problem. As stated in another post, only long grade was around Dunlop and not a problem.

Beautiful park, very wooded (no satellite) and many sites are short and not level. I would make reservations. The more level sites are in A Loop.

Exactly...come in the south entrance, even if you are coming down Hwy 111 from the north. Do NOT take Rt 30 from Spencer to the north entrance with an RV. I made that mistake once. :)
