Michigan I-75 southbound will be closed for two years

MDOT is closing southbound I-75 very specifically at the bridge over the River Rouge.
There will be other closings as well such that avoiding I-75 from Detroit south is the best idea.
It is suggested that you take I-275 south to avoid this.

This is the first part of a two year plan that is overdue.

A sailor, his bride and their black dogs (one dear dog is waiting for us at the bridge) going to see some dry places that have Geocaches in a coach made the year we married.

Although somewhat inconvenient.....I'm always glad to see my tax money going to infrastructure.

There are some partial closing lane restriction on I-75 just north of Detroit.

There are "live" still camera shots at various locations.

If it is not too far out of your way take US-23 or I-275 to I-96 to US 23 for north/south travel.
