- Fish__n___GritsExplorerFla Gypsy, don't forget, that's seven bridges and one ferry!
- thomhackExplorerThe Matthews Bridge was hit by a Navy ship under tow about 10 days back. This bridge connects downtown Jacksonville to the Arlington area. This closure will be more of a local problem and will result in increased detour traffic during rush hours for those needing to be downtown. I 95 as well as I 295 are not served by this bridge.Closure of the Matthews bridge is expected to last less than 60 days.
- jnharleyExplorerWe always drive straight through when transiting Jacksonville and never encounter any issues. We usually do not transit during rush hour though.

There are now 7 bridges spanning the St Johns River in Jax.
Times have changed since my Grandfather surveyed what is now known as Beach Blvd.:B - fla-gypsyExplorer

If you plan to turn west onto I-10, the the west beltway of I-295 will work the best. Never go through downtown if not necessary.

- WoodGlueExplorerCome to Los Angeles sometime!! You'd love it out here!
Seriously, I might be tempted to move to Jacksonville if only for Jason's Deli LOL :B
WoodGlue - fcooperExplorerJust came through Jacksonville several days ago on I-95. No problems except rough roads and some construction areas. No bridge problem on I-95.
- Big_KatunaExplorer IIWe LOVE Jacksonville! How could you not like Jacksonville?
I would recommend the new 295 Eastern route.
