Route around Nashville.
Currently parked at Nashville Shores just east of Nashville and wonder what's the best route to avoid heavy traffic westbound through the city. The park is off of Old Hickory Blvd. TIA

- go east about 12 miles on I40. exit 232 onto 840 . big beltway around nashville to I40 near Dickson. no stops no traffic 4 lane.
- Take I-40 west from your current location, to exit 215B (SR 155, Briley Parkway.) Stay on Briley Parkway all the way around the north side of the city, until it intersects I-40 on the west side at I-40 mile marker 204.
Far better than any other route--a few more miles but much less headache.
