Toronto ON to Gloucester MA then North in 31Ft Class A

I am trying to plan a trip from Toronto to Gloucester Massachusetts and then North into Nova Scotia and then back to Toronto. Preferably staying off the Interstates and large Metropolitan areas. Preferably not crossing at Buffalo. We will be in our 31 ft Class A motorhome, but we are not towing a car so will be looking for campgrounds that are walking distance close or public transportation to some popular attractions. We have never traveled East so we are open to all suggestions of campgrounds and all kinds of input of where to go and what to see. Our trip will be 6 weeks in length, we want to stay in each campground a minimum of 3 nights or longer, and preferably with full hookups. Our trip will be starting the 2nd week of July 2014. The popular TV Show Wicked Tuna is drawing me to Gloucester MA.

Thanks Bill

It would help if you told us what type of attractions you're looking to see. In Gloucester there is only one campground and it didn't get good reviews. You might want to stay one night there and move on. Vermont and New Hampshire are beautiful. The Vermont Cheese factory and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream factory are fun to visit. When we went to Maine, we stayed at The Narrows Too in Bar Harbor. They have a free shuttle to take you into Acadia National Park. Are you interested in New York City?? Here's a link to RV parks near the train to get into Boston:

sorry couldn't get the link clicky to work.
    Enjoy your trip!

That Free Shuttle visits all the Campgrounds and Towns on Mt. Desert Island.

    Thanks. I will.

  • I like visiting National Parks and Seashores. Walking on nature trails, taking photos of birds and other wild life. I am interested in local history and any of the seaports. I don't think I should go anywhere near New York City. Unless there is a nice campground within walking distance to transit. I am interested in anything nautical and would love to spend a week in a campground with an ocean view and nice beach to walk along. Every year we head West. It is past due that we discover the East Coast.
