Best RV Park in Yuma Area

"Could get boring in a private RV lot if you do not already know people in the area".....There are so many community sponsored activities in Yuma for residents and winter visitors that if you get bored, you just may be a closet introvert.

Had to reply to the topic...After living in Yuma for 40 years, I retired and moved to the Verde Valley. Next weekend we are coming back for a visit with family, towing our TT and staying in an RV park. I guess that makes us snowbirds now?!:h :D Never thought I'd stay in an RV park in Yuma.

We are staying at Shangri-La, owned by the family of one of my former students.

Hey, Paul my wife's brother and his wife will be there for January and we are stopping by for the last week of January. Site 735 I believe. Chris

Good comments on the possible negatives in parking on a fenced lot, but there are three of us who met about 8 years ago and that is why I am looking for somewhere our Canadian friends with their four dogs can park and hang out with us. Most parks only allow two. They won't buy that three of the dogs almost make one and the other big girl make two. So between us we have 7 dogs. It would be nice to let them run loose and enjoy each others company in a fenced area.

Besides we can always reach out over the little walls/fences to our neighbors.

get out and meet your neighbors, I have made myself a promise to make at least one new acquaintance each day.....been retired 10 years and have pretty much went out of my way to meet at least 1 new friend each day. It is not hard, you just smile and say hi....usually that will start some type of conversation. There is no reason to be lonely or bored, you are not on a time limit walk around meet people, invite them to your house or just talk over the back fence.

If it was up to me, I would just get off I-8 south on Foothill Blvd or Fortuna Rd and just go back and forth between those two North South Streets. There are so many for rent signs up. You can even find them in mid winter season.

I never like to hear my neighbors phart so I don't want the RV parks.

If you are new to Yuma, the answers are already given: Gemstone knows about the papers, Yuma Sun or the Yuma White Sheet.
There was also a mention of Craig's List from Pawatt.

Great places to start.

I own a place in the foothills but I only let my friends and relatives park their RV's and have full hookups.

If you like the activities at the parks, then by all means narrow your search to just that.
