For planning purposes, early-to-mid June is prime wildflower viewing in the Sinlahekin, or was when I was there this year.
My husband the fisherman says the fishing is excellent, too... - Roy_LynneExplorer

There's nobody here that can answer that question.
Your right, I think I'll make plans and just go. What else could happen but they would turn me around and send me packing.
For certainty, you might go East of the Cascades...lots of STATE land over there- always open, free boondocking, and fall colors all the way.
The Sinlahekin Valley is especially beautiful this time of year.
Have fun!

- CroweExplorerAcadia is open as of this morning.
- D_E_BishopExplorerWe just received word that Yosemite opened earlier this evening. The park opened as soon as they received word the bill pasted.
- D_E_BishopExplorerThe bill has been approved. If the N/W is anything like the Sierra, they will be open. The Yosemite staff was ready to reopen yesterday. We drove through on 120, 140 & 41, great weather.
- 1775ExplorerCheck the website of the National Park that you want to go to. Reports now that the budget is passed and things will reopen is that it will take several days to get things up and running again. So it is possible, but don't make the trip and just assume that it is open as usual.
- SooperDaddyExplorerThe latest idea is a "Adopt a National Park" program...where billionairs such as Warren Buffet, the Koch and Walton Familys, etc...will buy several National Parks and run them as Theme Parks and Time Share Condo Developments. The Public will be allowed to visit the Parks and pay several thousand dollar entry fees and royaltys to the new owners.
Proposed New Trump Time Share Condos by "Old Faithful" in Yellowstone NP... - noe-placeExplorerWe went to the Smokies in Tenn last week while our grandson was on fall break and had a great time. Even though the rangers had practically everything blocked off (including most of the pullouts) the park is still there to drive through. I played golf and DW did some shopping and we all did some site seeing for a great week.
