Found new, to me, state park CG in North Florida

OK went out to check out the State Forest CG at the Goethe State Forest today.THe one near us at Watermelon pond

Used to be bare dirt boondocking on sand. But in the two years or so since I've been there I found this:

Entry Rd with Iron Ranger a little further in, $10/night fee.

Giant pull thru sites. I counted 12 or so picnic tables plus a few tent sites off to the side. Some have either those pedestal fire pits or iron fire rings.

Another one of the pull thrus with the pit toilets in back. There is a pump house off to the left with a water hose. Marked non-potable. Also a watering tank for your horse.

To get here go to Newberry FL which is 12 miles (or so) from I-75. West on Newberry Rd aka SR24. Go thru Newberry and you'll find SR 337 just west of town. Turn south (left) and go 6 miles watch for the sign on the left.

There is hiking and biking in this park. Newberry has a supermarket and there is a Publix plus the standard two drugstores with some restaurants 6 miles east of Newberry. Also Ace Hardware and Tractor supply. On the other side of I-75 is Gainesville with everything. A major Hospital is right past 75 and a big shopping center. Home Depot on the west side of 75.
