Headed to Lake Reidsville NC this weekend

After reading this thread we drove up there Thursday. It's a nice little park with sites structured more like a commercial CG than a state or federal park. Trees but not much spacing.
There are some lake side sites with w/e and full hook up sites up the hill a little bit. There are also some monthly sites. City residents get discounted prices. There is no pool but there are plans to expand the CG.
The town itself (Reidsville) doesn't seem to be dying like so many towns. It's proximity to Greensboro is probably why. There is a nice main street with occupied older buildings and lots of foot traffic in the area.
We would camp there occasionally if a major event was in the area.

I have a friend that lives in Fancy Gap. We will pass by there Monday 0n our way up to the New River Gorge in WV. Will be raining but the leaves should look good.

Well, we had to cancel. The DW isn't feeling well, hopefully we can get one more trip in before December. We go to Fancy Gap KOA Oct 24. I'm going to Roebling Road Raceway Nov 7th, then we go on vacay at Geronimo RV Resort in Destin FL the week of November 16th since our cruise was cancelled. Hopefully the hurricanes will spare them, not sure how that's going to go. That will by far be the farthest we've taken our trailer.

just looked it up sounds great. thinking of going mid nov ,wonder how the weather an temps will be. please let me know how you like the place. we have a small class C. just looking for a place to get out of ohio for a week or so.fish a lot.
