HIDDEN VALLEY RV PARK, TIJERAS, NEW MEXICO
HIDDEN VALLEY RV PARK IN NEW MEXICO IS VERY DISAPOINTING, this campground is listed as a DELUX, when in reality it's a dive. The entrance from the frontage road is NOT clearly marked, the sign is very small and hidden by the gas station. The road in is narrow and steep, should you meet someone it's too tight for comfort. The registration entrance is short and narrow so much so should another rig would not be able to pass or have room to register. The lower sites aren't too bad, however the 2nd and 3rd levels are in very poor shape. They are tiered, but not very level, there are NO picknic tables as well as no room for them, the distance between rigs is approx. 3' for rigs with slides, without slides you get 5'. They are level but crowded, covered in gravel and overgrown weeds. The railroad ties that are shoring the hillside between sites are rotting and falling downhill. The fact that you are charged a resort fee is ridiculous. Warning, restrooms are near the entrance and it is one building, therefore should you really need to use the potty, find a bush or tree!
This is the first post I've ever done but I feel that future campers need to know what they are getting into. Hidden Valley needs to be hiding!!
