Lot owners! Watch out for scams.

Its snowbird season! I have an ad for my rental lots in Florida on RVparkstore.com I got an inquiry through the site about one of my lots. I quoted the person a monthly rate even though they only provided the email address of "findoutmayers@gmail.com"

They immediately accepted for a 6 month term and told me to book it so they dont lose it. They asked me to let them know when the payment arrived. In return I asked them to fill out a form that I have to turn into the resort office about who is coming. They did not respond. A few days later I sent the form again and again asked that it be filled out. No response. several days later I received and email from them stating that the payment had been sent and would deliver today and to let them know I got it. Since they have issues responding to my requests I did not respond at all. The next day they asked why I did not respond and I told them why. I then tracked the mail they claim to have sent to me as now they have included a tracking number. It should it was addressed wrong and was being returned. I told them no big deal, just pay me when you arrive. no response, I asked them to call me and no response.
I believe they were trying to do a "deposit" scam on me. If you deposit a check into your account the sender of the check will have access to your account numbers.
So beware out there.
