Yea they do, but was hoping to not have to go that far. That would be a 520 mile drive in one day. Original plan was just to stop in Elko at the Walmart parking lot for the night, but I know we could push further. Don't really want to head to Jackpot if we didn't have to. Lots of open space off hwy 93, but just not sure if its all private property or BLM. Would like to get 10-30 miles past Wells if there would be a spot. Don't need a campground, just some legal land to hang the hat for the night. - hotjag1Explorer II

If you only want to go 10-30 miles past Wells, you might as well just stay at the back of one of the truck stop lots in Wells. I also think there is a large empty dirt lot in Wells across from a truck stop on 93 that I have seen a few RV's at. - 2oldmanExplorer IIDoesn't look like much. Perhaps you better spend the night with the truckers in Wells.
- Steve76ebExplorerYea....Might have to stop in Wells. Not a fan of truck stops except for getting fuel. Was hoping for some hidden gem just off the highway.
- _DJ_1Explorer IIYou couldn't pay me to spend another night in Wells, NV!!! It is Grand Central Station for freight trains and they run all night long, laying on those horns at every intersection. Grab some stout coffee at a truck stop and do the other 68 miles to Jackpot or find a spot miles before Wells!!
- johnnaExplorerSouth of Wells where alt93 splits away from 93, there's a large highway maintenance yard. We usually stop there to stretch our legs and have a snack. I think you could overnight there.
- 4runnerguyExplorerNot boondocking, but Angel Lake NFS CG about 10 or so miles south of Wells is up in the mountains and gorgeous.
Right off I-70 at the Deeth/Starr Valley exit (333), on the north side of the highway is a large parking area where one could overnight. Further on at the Beverly Hills exit (348) there's a turnaround about 1/4 mile from the highway where one could park. Both of these would definitely have some traffic noise.
The problem with finding spots north of Wells is that much of the land was railroad land grants and thus a checkerboard of private and BLM land for 20 or more miles north of Wells. - nevadanickExplorerYou can stop almost anywhere you want along 93 going north of Wells. I would go down any road you see that you are comfortable driving on and park. There are some areas along the highway also.
- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIAbout 30 miles north of Wells on Hwy 93 between MM 103-110 are some paved pull-outs.
