- NCWriterExplorerThe lot there is not very large. We were able to park our 25’ Motorhome (no tow vehicle) and saw one other class C, but we were both lucky to fit . The rest were cars and it was full and busy with a lot of traffic on a late May weekday morning. Not what I'd call a camping area, strictly short term. Enjoyable, easy walk through the redwoods attracts a lot of people of all ages.
Agree about the campground next to the visitor center, and about taking time to see it. They have an interesting film about the Weott flood, and the volunteers were exceptionally friendly. - IAMICHABODExplorer IIJust stay at Burlington Campground, Lots of hiking there plus the Visitors Center is a must see, when we were there last year the Founders Grove parking area had a sign that said No Over Night Parking.
- profdant139Explorer III don't think that is permitted -- check with the ranger. There is little if any boondocking in that whole area. It's all campgrounds and RV parks, as far as I know.
- korbeExplorerIf the answer were yes, you would not be the only one there, and it would be packed with people hanging out. Destination areas have always had problems with campers/homeless/full timers wanting to stay, and use the facilities, while not paying to camp.
