Thanks! We survived our day. Parking was our biggest challenge... The porta potties made me wish we had our rig with us! Definitely entertaining??

We agree with their sign... "If You Haven't Been To Silly Al's, You Haven't Been To Quartzsite". Pretty darn good pizza at Silly Al's in our opinion.

We just got back from our 6th consecutive visit. The big draw for most, especially first-timers, is the big tent/RV Show. Lots to see... some of it even has to do with RV'ing. :R

Try to get there when they open at 9 as the crowds will be lighter but the tent is like a meat locker that early, bring a jacket. If you have a list of things you need for the RV it is easy to shop around not only in the big tent but in the many booths set up surrounding it. Then there are hundreds of booths in the outlying swap meet areas that surround the big tent.

I picked up a nice Camco 50' water hose for $21, a replacement anode for my Suburban water heater for $10 and a pair of water filters for $26. Some vendors charge the ridiculous 10 percent + sales tax while others include it in their asking price {so be sure to ask}.

Be especially aware of this tax on any big ticket items as it can eat into your apparent savings.
Case in point, I am having Shade Pro install a new 16' awning on our Class C for $379 but...they will be doing it in front of my house in Pinal County {we live 25 miles north of Trucson} where the sales tax is about half of Quartzsite's.

Lots of food choices though it all tends to be pricey and not particularly nutritious. When you have had enough shopping {and world-class people watching} wander over to Beer Bellies {Adult Day Care} for adult beverages and decent burgers with live music every afternoon.

Every year we find that two days and nights are just about right. We get to see all we came to see, shop just for specific items and simply enjoy the ambiance that can only be found at "The Q".

As always.... Opinions and YMMV.
