PM sent. Thanks - dieharderExplorerI've had Coach-Net for years and been very happy. The only time I used it was at home and for my car, not RV. during last nasty winter, wouldn't start one day. Many wouldn't, including neighbours. He called CAA and was told the wait was over an hour. Called Coach-Net and they had someone at the car in 10 minutes. Off to work while the neighbour still waited.
Don't use CAA. First, CAA/RV is somewhere around triple the cost of Coach-Net. Second, there are some states where AAA does not service. Thus, if you travel there and experience a problem, CAA isn't going to be able to help you - you'll be on your own to find a service provider. I believe you can get refunded, but if you're someplace that you don't know, how you going to go around and find a tow if you need one? Coach-net for your peace of mind and your wallet. - Scooby_and_DooExplorerHave had Coachnet for 15 years and am very impressed by their road service in Canada and the U.S.
They have changed blown tires, towed a broken down motorhome, boosted a dead battery on the car.....always done in an efficient manner.
They even provide technical assistance and will book service appointments for you to remedy a technical problem while on the road. A SUPERIOR road sevice!!
Also if you are a member of FROG (Forest River Owners Group) you can get a discounted rate. - rbrandExplorer

I'm also with Good Sam ERS. I was with AAA/CAA for many years but switched to Good Sam 7 years ago based on the good experiences reported by members of this forum. Only months after switching we had a breakdown with the camper in San Diego and Good Sam's service was excellent. Haven't needed the service in Canada yet (touch wood!). - almccExplorerWe use the road service that is provided through our truck/RV insurer Wayfarer out of Beaverton Ontario, the insurance carrier is Aviva. Haven't needed to use it yet! I suspect that a number of these plans use third parties to provide the service, and that depending where you are you may have to fend for yourself.
I had a problem with a company vehicle in northern Ontario, called for a tow using the park's radio phone (the only service in that provincial park), told the dispatcher where I was and got a long pause on the phone followed by "we don't have a service there". The local Ford dealer looked after me and I was reimbursed for the cost. - GSRoadsideAssisExplorerThank you for your post, 06Fargo. I would like the opportunity to assist you with your claim issue. X2. I've used them once for a tow (truck & trailer) & twice for changing a tire on the trailer. Excellent service. Each time they have called back to make sure the provider arrived within the allotted time. - joebedfordNomad III use CAA/AAA. AFAIK they're the only ones that offer auto, rv and motorcycle in Canada and USA.
- notevenExplorer IIIWe have Good Sam coverage. Used it once in southern California with good results. Needed it once in Saskatchewan and the 1-800 assistance number "does not connect from your calling area". Paid cash for the tow, contacted GS afterwards. I was sent out a reimbursement form which I filled out and submitted and have heard nothing since.
Edit: GS Roadside assistance has been in contact and the issue with phone contact from western SK has been resolved.
