Ceiling fan. install advice

I haven't found any info on the search function about installing a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Beyond finding something structural, 120 volts, and fan depth, anything I should prepare for?

Thx

Thx... seems like 120 would make a better fan, but will check in to both.
    Thx again.

I think the 12 volt motors are smaller and lighter.
  • Well if it's of any help my rig has a hundred twenty volt( I think it's a 4 blade or 5 blade ).ceiling fan....... right kind of in the middle of the dining room area I will call it---- and it's above the slides so there's no problem there.!!

and I do have a 12 volt fan back in the living room and one in the bedroom also.
  • Thx... seems like 120 would make a better fan, but will check in to both. Since the air conditioner is up there and many power lines are run through ceiling vent systems it seems like I'll find something that works.

I'd settle for a window fan, but someone in our household wants something different....

    Thx again.
  • Beside checking for cabinet interference, make sure the blades won't hit anything when the slide is in. A friend didn't and had to remove a blade every time he brought the slide in.
  • If you'll pop this in Google you'll find several resources, "install 12 volt rv ceiling fan" (no quotes)
  • when I installed ceiling fans in my S&B family room,et.al., I made sure that any cabinet doors didn't interfere when opened.

  • I think most RV ceiling fans are 12 Volt rather than 110. I know mine is. Search Amazon for RV ceiling fans.
  • I would want to visit some RV dealers or owners to see how they were installed. I'm assuming you will want a close fitting model.
