Dinette Modification.

Thought I'd share a pic of the modification I made to our dinette. It was a traditional U shaped with flat back cushions. Basically I just took all the cushions out, put everything in the flat bed formation, slapped in a piece of carpet and installed two contemporary glider recliners. I use the dinette seat belts to hold the recliners in my place while traveling. I can take everything out and go back to the original configuration in 20 minutes. 90% of the time it's just the wife and I, we don't need additional seating.

The recliners are so much more comfortable than the bench seats. We tried everything to make them work better for us. Love the new recliners. Contemporary design is narrower and fits in this relatively small space.

Thought if share a pic, but seriously? 14 steps to share a pic?

Anything is more comfortable than the bench seats. In my (-) shaped dinette (2 benches facing one another, not U) I removed one bench when running the propane line for catalytic heater, and the room looked so "roomier" without it that I threw the bench away for good. Put a comfy chair instead and never regretted. The chair is wedged upside down between the table and the remaining bench, for travel.

There are 3 steps to post a pic, not 14:
    1) Open http://photoposting.is-great.net/?i=1
    2) Drag and drop the pic
    3) Copy-paste the automatically generated link into your post.
