Electric fireplace Install

Did an install in my 5ver. Looked around online for the size I needed and HD had one I needed. Used just the firebox and not all the outside trim. Works just great!!

I looked at the firplace on the rvtape.com site. One question, it's a little confusing on the pic of the measurements...is the outside width dimension 26"?

Original owner had a desk with drawers installed instead of the second couch. The knee hole was the perfect width for a FP. I bought the FP at HD and removed its wooded cabinet. The problems I ran into is that the fireplace draws in cool air from the top. I added grills to front then blocked the center so the FP heat would not just recirculate. The knee hole also had a extended floor register from the furnace vent the originally terminated on the side of the kitchen counter. I just extended it to the front and built a base to rest the FP on. The 110v was pulled from a junction box that did not use Inverted power. This FP only draws 1200w so I shouldn't overload the circuit. I can select the "Flame" i.e. bulb only or heat and flame. The heat is also adjustable. Quite too.

Some friends bought this for their 5th. The gutted it and just used the fireplace. Almost a perfect fit and with trim installed it looks like it was meant to be.

I put one in our trailer last year. As it is a small trailer, it took a bit of "finessing" to get it in. But the final result looked good and the heat is great!.

We put one in our class A and it pretty well keeps us heated no problem and doess not use much in electric

Not a class A, but I did install one under my TV in our 5er. Had a little used cabinet under the TV. Found a fireplace insert from this place that fit in the opening with no cabinet modifications required. Just removed the doors, installed the fireplace, and added some trim around it to cover the small openings around the sides and top. Worked out great.

There were actually two cabinets below the TV and the fireplace went into the lower one. Added an electrical outlet in the cabinet above and tied it into the outlet for the TV for power.

Oops. Can't seem to show the complete picture. But TV is above the cabinet doors and fireplace is below at floor level.
