We just had our RV at MORryde and had a 3" riser added between the IS system and the bottom of the frame. So the problem we how have is about a one foot drop from the lowest step to the ground. NOT SAFE!!!

What seems to be the best portable single step out there?

Thanks!

Thanks Barney, from watching the videos they do look pretty darn nice. Is there any down side to them?

Other than price, I have not found one yet. They installed very easily, work smoothly, are very solid when being used, and look good. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sir your recommendation puts them way up on my list!

Do the adjuster legs stick up higher than the bottom step? Looks like a tripping hazard.

I just installed the GlowSteps on our trailer this past weekend. The adjuster legs do stick up just a small amount but they are outboard of the steps themselves and are not a tripping problem at all. The width of the steps is identical to the old steps they replaced.
We really like these steps and I think we will order another set for the rear door of our trailer that is shown in the picture I posted earlier.

I would like to see the GlowStep in person. Probably will end up with one like above with adjustable legs. The 24" wide unit.

Ron, We put the glow step revolution on our TH at the main entrance...4 steps with stabilizer legs on bottom step...With my stroke and the DW getting a hip replacement, these steps are super stable and are wide... The wife and I love them. TheyG've worked great for us. The manufacturer is great to work with:)

We have used one of these very successfully for quite a few years. Don't think they are made any more though.

Buy a step like they use in step aerobics. Bigger and lighter and you can add sections under the step to make it taller if you need to.

Cummins, it hasn't been a problem we've noticed. That is except for our Shelties, when then come out of the trailer neither one will step on it. One will going in. It's good and sturdy, folds and tucks in the basement on that side.

What I did to solve this problem on the sites where it was a problem.

I made a platform from 1x4 lumber and a piece of 1/2" plywood it is about 2 1/2 feet wide and three foot long I covered the top with astroturf. I turn it upside down in back of truck and then store other things inside while towing.

It does not weigh that much and has been used many times. For a various assortment of other things also when not needed as another step.
