Here is a cool little mod that alot of the newer trailers are coming with that makes opening your screen door easy .

I'm a fairly dim bulb and I'm really am trying to figure it out...I need some help...:?

Its a clear plastic sheet that replaces the white slider that most of our screen doors came with . There is a button that you slide down that activates the actual screen door opener so you dont have to slide the cover over to open the screen door from the inside . Very handy and I like this better than the camco piece that could easily break off .

I have seen these on a couple new trailers lately but have yet to determine who makes it and a buddy of mine sent me this pic about 2 hours ago . I had him pick me one up .

This is the kind of screen door slide my unit has. There is a pin sticking out the back side of the round thing you see. The round thing is mounted so it moves up and down. Pushing down it pushes the lever down and opens the screen door. I am not very good at describing how it works but it real good.

Would love one of these but my screen slide has a pretty good recess. Flat panel would hit door handle.

That came factory installed on our 2012 Laredo 5er, liked it until the wind on the last camping trip. It doesn't have a real way to grip the door so it kept blowing out of our hands. I have been tasked with correcting this, our last trailer had a curved piece on the door frame your fingers could grasp, I might try to make something similar.

I had a spare toilet tank handle, bent the rod cut it rounded the end,, used a box knife and made a square hole tightened the lock nut,,,,Works great and it's Chrome!! Looks good and was FREE!!!

They were at Lowes/HD for about 2.00 in the cabinet knob section. They have a small nylon roller and metal base with spring and 2 screw holes.. last about 3 years and then a new one.

I like this idea because I don't want the handle either. Any chance you could post a pic of your installation?

Oh, I saw this one in an RV store for about $5 and chickened out on making one. It works well.

So well I figured I would never need to open that slider again and siliconed it shut! Dumb. Of course I need to slide it open in order to open the main door when it is closed. I used a utility knife to cut the silicone, being careful not to cut it off - now it is much more bug proof than before.
