Bedroom Slide in fifth wheel

I have a Vengeance Touring edition that has a main bedroom slide. This is on that slides the king size bed with it and the inside edge of the bed drags along the top of the carpet as the bed goes in and out. I have already had to beef up the interior of the bed frame as it was loose from this dragging. I was wondering if anyone else out there had ever added any kind of rollers to the inside edge of their bed frame so it would roll easier along the carpet as the slide works? If so what kind did you use?

Another poster once mentioned he used a piece of (I think)polyurethane strip, 1/4" thick, 3" wide, and as long as the travel portion on the carpet, so the low bed edge could easily slide over the carpet. You can probably get it at a good hardware store or marine supplier. King Starboard (marine) would work but it's very expensive.

I would think a small piece of poly cutting board would work just as well.

If it's still under warranty I recommend asking the dealer to see if the slide can be adjusted to accommodate the problem. OTOH, I've seen a few slides that never seems to be adjusted just right, and I have one out of three on my signature FW that is problematic. Without examining the whole slide, how it operates, the adjustments, and how it's dragging, it's difficult to make a recommendation. Our bed has rollers mounted under it. But one roller is not positioned correctly . One corner of our bed was dragging slightly. I could not unscrew the roller without removing complete bed and frame.
I cut a block of wood the same thickness as the roller is tall for the bedframe to slide on . To keep the block positioned properly I ran some screws through the block protruding through the bottom of the block about 1/8" . They act as grippers in the carpet to keep the block from sliding around. Rub a little Ivory soap on top of the block for lubrication .
Works great. Easy and cheep fix
