Customer Service

Recently I purchased a 5th tailgate on craigslist but the seller had lost the keys. Thought, no problem, take the gate to the locksmith. Well that ended up being a waste of time, he was unable to make a key. The tailgate is Stromberg Carlson, 3500 series no longer manufactured. Called them just to see if they could help me find a key. They found one, took down my address and will put it in the mail.

What a pleasant surprise. Just wanted to share!
  • Bought a new 2013 Hyundai last year. Lost the remote and bought one off Ebay for $45.00 versus $245 from dealer + $50.00 to program. Had it flashed for $17.00 as dealer couldn't flash it. Am going to try and have it programmed tomorrow at dealer for $50.00. Obscene prices after spending all that $$$ for the hybrid model. Electronics really suck at times. JMHO
  • I think it is great to pass along information about good customer service. So often we only hear the bad stuff. It is also nice to know so that when a future purchase is made, we can remember who supplied good service. These are the type of companies I want to buy from.
  • Over the years I have had to call Stromberg a couple of times for various problems and have always received excellent assistance.
