I tow a single axle 2200 lb enclosed utility trailer behind my 5th wheel.
The difference in fuel economy is negligible. I find head and tail winds have a much more dramatic effect with or without the utility trailer.
In fact if it were not for my camera on the back of the 5th wheel I would never know if the utility trailer was there.
