Generator modification what is for a 5th wheel RV
I currently own a 6500/8000 watt Generac generator and looking to modify the generator specifically the muffler so I may use it in my RV any suggestions.

Does the rv have a dedicated generator compartment? If so you could fabricate an exhaust pipe to run under the unit to an external muffler making sure it is least the same diameter as the engine outlet. Don't use flex pipe, this stuff doesn't last long before rusting through and leaking. Also ensure it has an adequate supply of fresh air for cooling and clean running.
It will still be unpleasantly loud, you and the neighbors will hate it. It is designed for outside use and runs at double the speed of a good rv unit, quiet operation was not one of the design priorities.
