I drop the camper off on Monday to get the JoyRider Suspension kit (aka shocks) and new Torklift Glowstep Revolution steps installed on the camper. I've heard nothing but good about campers with shocks, so I'm really hopeful that this helps smooth things out back there. The steps will be really nice, I've been at 2 places back to back now where the campground broke a cardinal sin where the door side is the low side. This means that I have to raise it up and then jump off of my bottom step to the ground.And then, of course, a honey do list of little fixes and maintenance things.They'll have it from Tuesday-Friday. I hope they're able to accomplish everything.

Yes, shocks on the trailer make for a much better ride and tow experience. Put the lipper kits on our 5er, another great investment.

I don't have shocks on my rig, but now it's a thought.

did you notice a difference in towing with shocks?

I have the Joy Rider's on a 2012 29' Montana. The ride was so rough, it launched the turn table out of the micro wave. I have the shocks, an upgraded equaflex and a Moryde pin box. Rides better now.

Good Luck!

My RV Service Center declined to install the "DITY" Joy Rider shocks as they did not have the 3 12" Bits recommended for installation and their "suspension" guy has a sore back...
Said I should take it to the local Trailer/Axle shop.

My 10 year old Montana has the sole low angle original shocks on each axle which don't handle the worst bumps too well.

BUT... That tandem is probably running about $5,000-$6,000 now at MorRyde... Back in 2010 v I added the IS to my last fiver and just that was $3200 , and a round trip to Elkhart..

Well at $240 for the shock kits, and a full tank of fresh water our 5er rides very smooth. It doesn't need a pocket full of cash to get a smooth ride.
