Holiday rambler next level

Hello everyone. I am in the process of trying to remove oxidation from my exterior of my next level toy hauler. I cut it with 3m finesse but when the sun hits it at a certain angle there is a ton of swirls and dull spots. This is a gelcoat and it spent much of its life in California. Is there any way to remove this and make it uniform?? Looking straight at it it looks pretty good. I have tried every compound and final polish that I know of. Thanks!
  • You can get a heavier duty cutter-compound and it won't hurt the gelcoat and should brighten it up but once fiberglass-gelcoat is faded there is no long lasting solution. Retired body shop guy here. It is possible there has been a new product invented but sunshine is hard on a lot of things.Best of luck.
  • Look up paint correction on youtube. Checmical guys have really good products too.
  • Based on my boat in SF experience there is no long term solution for chalking just band aids.

Painting $$$$ is a longer term solution.
  • sounds like you need a professional detailer to look at it. Probably faded too bad would be my guess. If its just swirls the only way is progressively finer compounds and LOT of work.
