I believe you will like the Superglide. We have the model 4100 (16k capacity) with which we tow our '07 HitchHiker with a GVWR of 12,500lbs and have been pleased with it. It is our first 5er and we have only owned for a year, but in that time we have towed it over 7700 miles. There was more than one instance where I was glad we had the Superglide. It enabled us to quickly turn the rig around within the turning radius of the truck without worrying about clearance between the trailer and the cab. We can however, feel and hear the hitch articulate during slow-speed maneuvering. It was startling at first until we figured out what was going on.

The only negative I can think of is the lack of height adjustment. We needed to raise the hitch 3" to provide adequate clearance between the trailer overhang and the bed rails. This entailed the additional purchase of a Pullrite lift kit. Had we known such was needed we could have saved ourselves time and inconvenience by buying the lift kit at the same time we bought the hitch. No real biggie though... just one of those "life experiences" we are all treated to at some time or another.

If it were me, I'd be looking at a little higher rating on the hitch.
Dealer wanted to install a 16K with our 1st 5er, I requested at least an 18K (wanted some extra wiggle room), they didn't have one so they ended up installing a 20K. Sure glad they did, because our current 5er is running 17K plus, so we didn't need to change hitches.
You just need to plan for the future and that next BIGGER and Better 5er.

Very, very hard to beat the B&W Companion series of hitches, no matter which one you get. You also get a company that stands behind their products 100%.

I have a 2012 Ram 3500 SRW short bed and run a Pullrite Superglide with good results.

B&W Companion here with a Mor/Ryde pin box installed at the factory. Have never experienced any towing problems whatsoever - no porpoising, no chucking, no clunking, no snaps, crackles, or pops. I don't know how the Mor/Ryde works but I'm glad I followed advice here and ordered the Pinnacle with it.

check out the new B&W that's coming out shortly for the new Ram. Those in the know say its the cats meow.

Totally agree. I also had a Reese 16k slider that I called my "Rice Krispys" hitch because it snapped, krackled, and popped all the time. Hated it! Replaced it with a B & W Patriot and am very happy with it.....no noise.

I also have the MorRyde pin box I ordered from Montana factory with new Montana.

I have the Reese R20 non-slider with the Mor/Ryde. I recommend keeping it. I don't think you can get too smooth of a ride.

I have been using the Reese R16 slider with a standard kingpin for about 6 months now. Compared to my 13 year old Reese 15K slider it is smoother, the tolerance on the jaws is very tight with no noticeable movement. You do get some movement from the round tube slider, but I found that you can eliminate it by making sure that your brake controller is set correctly.
The round tube slider slides much easier than my old square tube did. That said I think the addition of the MorRyde pin box would be a plus, I am looking at one for my 5er.
One other thing, the R16 slider does not allow you to use the bottom adjustment holes to lower the height of the hitch, I have a 2013 Chevy 3500 2 wheel drive and with the hitch set as low as I can get it I have 8" clearance at the bed rails(which is good) but I am about 2" nose high, rather than change my kingpin height I plan on moving my spring pack to the lower hole on the hanger bracket.
