- can-stackerExplorerI just sprayed WD-40 on the parts that were hanging up. It seems to slide much better. I will let you know in a few weeks.

I do believe that is the way it should be. It should be a little on the tight side. But you should be able to force it into center position by hand. There are a couple of reasons.
1) The adjustable block is there to hold the carrier arm in place when NOT hitched. Otherwise it will clang around, moving back and forth when you drive around in NON-towing situations.
2) The adjustable block will keep some pressure on the carrier arm when towing. So when you come to a stop it holds the hitch with a little back pressure. So when you start off from a stop, the hitch does not suddenly move backward (with a CLANG) from any looseness.
For more/better detailed information consult your owners manual.
If you want, you can try loosening the stop bolt a tiny bit and try it. No more than one turn though. Be sure to apple the lock nut. - I think there is an adjustable block to take out the slack in center position.
Maybe yours is set too tight. Look on the front of the hitch. - can-stackerExplorerI just pulled on the release handle. It moves forward easily. It will not go back to the starting position. - VulcaneerExplorerTry operating the slide mechanism manually. Grab that release handle and pull it to turn the hitch. It should start sliding to the rear. The more you turn it, the more it moves rearward. If it is hanging up, you be able to feel and see it.
- Before I originally answered your post , I searched YouTube and saw several videos on the hitch,,, most were install videos , but they will give you sense of what is going on.... When I have time later tonight , I will get back on and do some searching... I do know that I searched pullrite superglide...like stated before. If it's hanging up on the way tubes , it may be a capture plate issue??? Maybe you can take a video and we can see???
- can-stackerExplorerI searched SuperGlide. Could not find anything. I think I will call Pullrite and talk to them. Thanks for all the input everyone!
- VulcaneerExplorerHere is an idea. www.youtube then search "Pullrite". I don't know of a dis-assembly video. But maybe you can find one, on your own.
Just be careful on you tube. Lots of people showing SuperGlide hitch failures. But they are NOT hitch failures. They are operator error. IE: no capture plate, not hitching correctly, and other real stupid stuff that unknowing people do. But it can't be their fault. So it must be the hitches fault.
If it wasn't sliding away from the truck while turning, you might have a capture plate problem. Could be other problems too. But the reason should be very obvious, without taking anything apart. Fixing it, on the other hand, could require dis-assembly. - can-stackerExplorerYes, I wanted to watch a video. I am just afraid to take things apart unless I know what I am doing. The hitch was installed in 2010. I am a daughter of a mechanic. I just love to get my hands dirty :)
I think it is hanging up on the way tubes. It wasn't pulling away from the truck while turning like it should have. - mrbunzoExplorerDo you see what WE are doing; AGAIN. OP asked for a video, as he is a visual learner.
All the nice responders TELL him how to do what he needs to SEE.
Nobody addresses the question; Is there a video? I don't know/I couldn't find one, sorry
