pull rite-super glide

Thanks guy,I'm not sure what the 2700 looks like but I'll give these ideas a try.

The photo Specularius posted above is exactly the way my 3300 is and I have to problem with a regular Master lock I use (it is a long shank about 2 inches or so, but that is one I had on hand anyways). I will also have to back up a bit to take pressure off, but like I said before, it's peace of mind and to keep some knucklehead from playing with it when left unattended.

You might be able to find a cable lock to go through it. Maybe a short one like you would use on a handgun.

X2, after seeing the pic of the hitch there is no way a lock can secure that handle! I would contact the Super Glide people and question their manual, they might have a better suggestion for you!

The manual clearly states that the lock can only be used on the 2700 model.

That is the way mine is. Always have to backup to take the pressure off the pin.

If you look at page 9 in this link you can see how the 2700 has an exposed rail and the ability to easily get a padlock above the rail.

Lock access

Thanks for the Picture rjxj. That clears it up some for me. I had a 18K pound super 5th hitch before and the pad lock worked. Sorry I don't have a suggestion.

The frame design is somewhat different because there is nowhere to slip the lock in above the handle.

This is the 2900 hitch. Notice how there is no opening to the top left/front side where a padlock could be placed above the handle.

As shown above in my other post, I chose to drill a hole in the lip of my capture plate rather than cut/weld/modify my hitch or pin box. The only modification is one hole drilled in the capture plate.
