Replacement Pin Box...Flex Air or MORryde ?

Looking for a Pin Box to get rid of the chucking...fore and aft movement on rough interstate roads... not a bouncing problem with my rig.

Is the Trail Air Flex Air really worth twice the price and also having the airbag to worry about?

Seems all I might need it the MORryde rubber Pin Box at half the price and less maintenance of adding air all the time.

    I have the Mor/ryde. I'm very happy with the improvement. Like you said no maintenance and it will dramatically reduce chucking.

    I have pulled with both types and was happy with the Mor/ryde. Could not really tell the difference.

    Never used MoyrRide but have towed my 36ft Fiver with the TrailAir for 10 years and have had no maintenance issues. From a comfort standpoint, there is usually a reason for a significant price difference.

    Our last rig had a TrailAir and we liked it. Our present trailer came with the Mor/Ryde. I liked the TrailAir better, in fact we ended buying a TrailerSaver BD3 hitch and the combination of the air ride hitch and Mor/Ryde make a nice ride.

    What is your pin weight percentage and is the traler level when towing?

    19 %

    Per CAT scale weights:
    -Pin weight 2,300
    -Trailer total 12,000

    Trailer is level to slightly nose down, about as close as I can get it to perfectly level @ 1 inch nose low.

    19% is on the low side for a 5 th wheel. My previous trailer would chuck until I increased my pin percentage to 25% and no more chucking.

    Interesting you are nose low which is better than nose high. Most of the 5 th wheels are difficult to get level and maintain at least 6 inches of bed to trailer clearance.

    I love my new MorRyde. It lowered my nose another inch and finally got it level with my F350. The harsh road vibrations from seams and just crappy roads is greatly reduced.

    just to throw a third option out there - the Reese 5th airborne is a nice unit as well. I put mine on last month and got the chance to try it out, i'm extremely pleased with it and it was well priced.
