Replacing "Wiper Seals" on slides

Hi All --- My wiper seals on the slides of my 2008 HH II are clearly falling apart with age. Has anyone replaced theirs and can provide some guidance? Are the seals (a least the upper horizontals) held in place by a "track/guide" and the verticals simply "glued"? Where did you get your replacements, Steele Rubber Co or can you get them from Nuwa direct? I have watched several "you tube videos" regarding the process in general BUT not on HH II's specifically. I appreciate any guidance and thank you in advance. As a sidebar, I just used "Liquid Rubber" to re-coat the roof and I am VERY pleased with the results. Happy Trails to all.

  • I replaced my horizontal slide out seal this summer. I got it from Pelland Enterprises on line. There are many different styles of seals so you need to know exactly what the profile of your seal looks like and the length of it. Changing mine was simple. The old one pulled right off since the spring loaded clip had deteriorated. The new one just pushed on with a click. I had one of the side seals slip down about 2" and getting it back up in the correct position was a little harder, but not bad. None of those seals were glued only a friction fit. This was on a Keystone Outback 5th wheel. The track is a mild "T" shape to let the seal snap on.
