heading to Myrtle beach from southern Ont. any tips as to route and or places to stay on the way and at destination?

- If you go through Ashville I strongly suggest Mamma Gerties Campground. The view from the sites at the top are awesome. We could sit and look out our back window of the rig and see the mountains and campground below. Strongly suggest visiting the Biltmore Estate in Ashville. It may be decorated for Christmas- not sure. Self guided walking tour through the mansion took me 4 hours. Expensive but worth every penny. Enjoy the beach.

Where do you plan to cross into U.S. - Hauling 32ft. 5th with Gmc 1500 crossing at Buffalo
- google up Huntington Beach State Park and look that over. As an old pfart I like to stay out of the fast and tourist lane. it is just a tad south of Myrtle, huge camp sites, gated, et all.
I am there every winter and notice a lot of Canadians there. - I used to hauled horses to the south from Rochester area I always went
I90 to I390 to US15 south(mostly 4 lane) to Harrisburg PA,
81 South to Rte 17 in Winchester Va. then 95 south to destination. This seemed to be the best route.
Avoids a lot of big cities
