still traveling ?

I turned 65 in January, and with a little luck, I plan to keep traveling with the Minnie for 10 years or so, and then see where we're at (health, ability to travel, desire to travel, travel budget, etc.) and see what's next. If pulling the trailer becomes a problem, we're willing to explore other alternatives such as a smaller class C, or a nice B class camper, or possibly something else that will come along by then.

Glad to hear that you're still enjoying going out in the RV. For years, I've been inspired by some of the folks (older than us) that are enjoying the rv lifestyle and enjoying their retirement years and staying active! As I've always said, a moving target is harder to hit!!

Just turned 71. Hope to continue until I'm 80. Will probably relocate less and less as I age. Longer stay-overs and shorter travels between campsites.

Looks like, for the moment at least, I hold the record!

We are leaving on Monday (day after Easter) for a trip to the Hill Country of Texas. Just a short trip for us, but one we always enjoy at bluebonnet time.

We are not full-timers and never will be. We call ourselves "travelers," and have been in all but a few states in the lower 48.

Well, enough for now. Just trying to be an encouragement.

Both of us turned 80 in AZ this winter.

We started camping in 1966, so next year will be our 50th year of camping. Oh, and we are in our early 70's.

Now...you're the folks that inspire me! I hope I can say the same when I'm 80 or older! Have a safe trip, and may you have many more!!

Ran into a P-51 Mustang pilot from WWII a couple of years ago. He was 90 and his wife was 86 and they were still 5th wheeling. Needless to say, I was impressed.

DH will be 70 in June and had triple bypass surgery in January. Once he fully recovers we will hit the road again. Can't wait! As long as we can safely drive and have the ability to hook and unhook, we'll keep going. Maybe shorter trips as we wind down.

dam i a youngster i have been camping since 1971 but in only 61

I knew the oldest licensed pilot in the world (at that time), who was finally grounded at 98, though he could still fly with another current pilot in the right seat. He sold his plane to a neighbor when he was 99 with the stipulation that he could go up on his birthday every year after. He did so until he was 104 or 105, when he passed away. Awesome guy, too. Don't know if he RV'd... :-)
