ST tires need to be inflated to max psi or near max psi as they are designed for max pressure and will not last long under-inflated. LT tires whether on a truck or trailer can be filled according to the load they are carrying, although it would be wise to add 10psi if using loading chart to identify correct psi, this extra psi will help keep sidewalls from flexing too much.
"An extra 10 psi OVER weight loading table??? Why bother with the table then?? If concerned with sidewall flex, load tire to max sidewall psi recommendation...
I have the GY G614's on my 5er, they were OEM tires...5er has a GVW of 16,950#, 7,000# axles. Per the manufacturer of my 5er, (Monaco/HR), it states to run 110 psi in the tires, same recommendation from GY also
IF going from an OEM "E" rated tire to a G, I agree that one best check their rims to see how much air pressure they can take and use the weight tables to adjust air accordingly.
Don't know what axle weight ratings OP's 5er has or if he "upgraded" from an "E" to a "G" rated tire...need a little more info before we can make a blanket statement.
