- Atom_AntExplorerAfter the couple of centuries it will take for the sun to impact the shade, it will be time to re-decorate anyway. :)
- KittykathExplorer IIIt may not be pretty, but I cut-to-fit some of those cheap windshield reflective protector things and wedged them into the sunnyside windows, behind the blinds. We're parked in one spot and just take them out when we arrive. No one else can see that side from the road anyway. Makes a helluva difference.
- Reader1ExplorerThe dealer told us the same thing. But we keep our down unless we are using the camper. When we put them up, sometime we have to work the pleats a little but it is not a problem. I don't want the sun to fade furniture or wood.

I wish I'd put something in the windows, behind the shades. Even with the shades down, we have severe fading of wallpaper, fabric, wood and linoleum. Also, the shade tie-downs are plastic and most have broken, causing the strings to come loose. When that happens, you can no longer put the shades up. Just a totally dumb thing to do.

Used to be that you could go to WM and buy steel sewing machine bobbins. I did that on a couple of 5vers. The metal bobbins don't break like the plastic ones.
Just another 'roundtuit that the 11 miles to the storage site puts a crimp on. That, and a job, and a daughter getting married in April, honey-dos... :-)
Lyle - joebedfordNomad IIOne of our windows the night shade is always down. I decided to open it for the first time in two years. The pleats were mostly gone. It took about 5 minutes to refold the creases to lift the blind. It's fine again now that it was up for a couple of days.

Every time I do that here on this forum, my posts get deleted.

Myth. Ours stay down when traveling and for months at a time when in storage. No problem after 7 years.
Same time (will be 8 years old in April), same story (down), same pleats..:C.
