Washer and Dryer Advice!

You certainly need sewer connection, water in washer has to go somewhere. Most have drain going into grey tank for shower/sink. we have Kenmore stack, 24" wide to fit thru entry door. It is a 110vac unit, drying is slower than household, but we are retired. If you have a space for W/D the height should be no problem. Would not be without one.

ok just saw that it does have the sewer connection. so we are looking at about 69" max - just need to do some research i guess! thanks!!

Our 96 Southwind has a combo. We like it and it does a good job.
But, you are correct, the stackable is the way to go.

We had the all in one Splendidi 2000 in our present 5er getting the 2000xc in the new 5er DW thinks it works well for us. She had the option of seperate washer and dryer but still went with the combo. As with most things RV there is a learning curve.

You may consider the drain connection being put in the grey tank drain line downstream of tank, but upstream of grey tank drain block valve (if possible). Just be "very" certain that your dump valve is open! I believe that the thought behind this, is just in case your level indication is incorrect... you cannot have an overflow issue.

Had Kenmore stackable units in previous rig. Would not fit in the new Creek, had to co to Splendide units, (stacked but seperates).

In this post...I mentioned plumbing your washer downstream of the gray tank and "Not" into the gray tank!!!!

The reason I suggest this is.... I just (this morning) winterized my washer. If you are plumbed into the tank you can not "visually" witness the washer pumping the antifreeze to drain. If you get a good pink color from the open ended sewer connection....then you know that you have thoroughly "winterized" the washer lines and pump. If it goes to the tank... you will never know if you got a "good" winterization! Again...just my 2 cents worth!

Have Spendide stackables with a vented dryer. Had to talk the wife into it. Now she would never do without.

Have the whirlpool stackables. usually, the dryer vent has to be cut into the body of the trailer. We ordered from factory installed, so they did that for us.

As for the comment about winterizing, no problem. Just run (separately), hot cycle long enough to see A/F in the tub, then go directly to spin cycle, that will pump everything out, including the A/F through that pump. then repeat on the cold cycle, again long enough to see a/f in the tub, and then run the spin/drain cycle again. In all, probably uses 1/2 a gallon of a/f or more, but better safe than sorry. Then you are done (with the washer winterize)!

EDIT: the other thing I would mention, is that the washer is Not the first thing that I winterize. I've already run a/f through all the rest of the waterlines at this point, so what water remains is whats left in the water pipes from the last "tee" in the lines to the washer itself, not all the way from the waterpump.
