The short version:
- Connect the two wires for the starter to a 12V source.
- The other wires feed an outlet in the compartment your shore power cord is in, the shore power cord plugs into that outlet to use the generator.
On my 2005 WW which has an Onan Marquis 5500 Gold this is a 120v 50amp outlet which my shore power plugs into. The power feed from the generator is two 30a 120v circuits.
If this is the first time you have worked with 12v and 120v power feel free to consult an electrician, even if it's at the very end. Melting any parts will cost more to fix than the electrician.
If you have a multimeter you can test everything yourself. If you don't have one go buy one, the inexpensive ones will do everything you need.
Congrats on finding the genny!
Don't take life too seriously, it's not permanent.
