I'd like to give a huge THANK YOU to Brad, the Moderator over the Truck Campers forum for his assistance with this thread.

Thanks also to RVcrazed51 for his request for this thread.

Post photos of your Fifth Wheel on this thread. Any photo with a 5er in it is allowable; any brand, any year.

This thread is generally for Fifth Wheel photos only. But feel free to post comments on posted photos.

Because this thread is very long, I will occasionally clean it up by removing the older posts that do not have Fifth Wheel photos and other off topic material. Also, please limit photo width to 640 pixels by using: width=640. Please do not post thumbnail size photos, they are just too small to see.

Register at photobucket.com (free), download your pictures (takes a while), hi-lite and copy the URL, then use the "image" icon to paste the photo URL.

Hi everybody, I'm looking to buy a fifth wheel, hopefully by the end of the year. And I was just wondering if some of you would care to post some pics of your fiver.

I take my slider out quite a bit too. It's no extra work because of the fact that it's a slider. If you have a short-bed, I would recommend getting a slider. I seldom slide mine, but knowing I have it if I get in a tight spot is good peace of mind.

Fuzzy,
Very nice rig!! That's my goal for the future.

Here's the rig we just picked up.
It's a 2010 Sierra 355QBQ. We love the extra room coming from a Jayco 291RLTS. The Jake was a great unit, but not much sleeping capacity (sleeps 4) since it had the rear living area. This one has a rear bunk room and could sleep 12 if needed!! The big selling point for me was the new outside kitchen. Man, who ever designed this needs a hug!! We do most of our cooking outide, so it works out great!!

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks HamsHog and rescue454.

Carriage only made the C-Force toy haulers for a couple of years, guess the sales weren't what they expected. Lot's of quality features we really enjoy. We like to go long distances and stay out for a while so it fits us really well.

Picking up our first 5th wheel and dumping our TT this weekend!!!!:) Driving from NY to MI to pick it up. Any must have tips for me....this is the first time pulling a 5th......

Using 2007 Ram 2500 w the 6.7 CTD short bed.....dont have a 5th set up yet....getting it there.... Camper is a 2010 Chaparral 299TSB....is supposed to have modified front cone.....which is supposed to prevent me from needing a slider set up. Anyone have opion either way on the slider set up....keeping in mind i do have a short bed.....

I use the bed of my truck all the time for equipment and tools etc....meaning i will be taking the setup out of the bed every time i am not using it. Will the slider install take more time and have more hardware to remove when not in use???

Any strong recommendations on 5th setups i should go with?

Thanks

New member here. Been lurking and reading all the good stuff here for a while. Here's the rig we've been enjoying for just about a year now, C4500 hauling a Carriage C-Force 39SV1. We love it!

Thanks Ya'll,

We both really fell for this coach. Don't know if you can really get everything you want, but this came the closest! We'll probably start fulltiming in a couple months and plan to have everything paid for in a few years for retirement! God willing!

Great looking unit HamsHog. I know you guys will have some great times. I noticed in your signature that you have a Slimline HD dish. Could you give me a little more info on it. Thanks ... Now get out and break it in.

Hey All,

We picked up the Carri-Lite 36XTRM5 today and everything was working!! Man this thing pulls nice! The Chevy handles this coach fabulous!! I drove big rigs back in the 70's, but have only towed a ball hitch since the late 80's 'till now. Semi-trailers (5ver's)are so nice to pull!! Took it to the house and loaded some stuff in, then drove up the hill to storage. We'll go boondocking next weekend at the Sand Drags in Lake Elsinore with some friends.

Regards, Hamshog

Joe Camper,
Nice rig. What kind of hitch are you using? I have the same truck and we may be getting a fiver in the next couple of years.

Thanks all.

I went with the Pullrite SuperGlide 18k. Tows very well so far.
