Snow bird RV parks ?

If you are just starting out, the south is a big space. I would start east to west or west to east and just drive. If you find a spot that interests you, sign up for a week and explore (Corpus Christie)

I could easily spend 5 months dallying along the road and seeing what there is to see. Life is a journey, not a destination...

I meant to ask about this when I saw it Friday - is $4,200 a month a misprint? Is that normal for winter rates in the Keys or is there something special about that park? That sounds insane, but if that's normal it's a free market. I like the Keys, but not that much.

Since you're from California you might look at Yuma AZ. I've never stayed in Yuma (not a fan of desert areas) but there are some extremely inexpensive parks there. I've been wintering in Sierra Vista AZ and really like it there for many reasons but I suppose it's not for everyone. SV at 4,600' does get very occasional snow and a few sub-freezing nights. However, the adjacent 9,900' mountains as well as the areas outdoor activities more than make up for occasional light snow and cold. Besides I'm not really a snowbird, I like the snow but hate the long dreary northern winter days and the resulting winter depression I get. Southern AZ is sunny all winter, perfect for this sunbird!

We will be at Green Gate Grove in Mission, Tx this winter for (4) months. There are a number of individually owned lots or homes that can be rented or purchased.:)

My wife and I started our fulltime RV life April. We are coming up on our first winter

The majority of Snowbirds usually go to just one place every year for the winter. Us full timers usually are not that stringent on where we go 'cause we can' and probably have more suggestions based on our experiences. :C

We are going to Try Mission/McAllen Texas this winter.

a few places are 300 plus electric per month AND UP.
