'06 Itasca Suncruiser 35A Pros Cons

I have a family member looking at an '06 Itasca Suncruiser 35A. I am wondering if anybody on here has/had one. I would like opinions if you have the time. It looks like a nice rig, very clean and nice floorplan. I can't remember the mileage but it is fairly low. I am curious about problem areas and also CCC.

Thanks
  • I have a 2008, 35A I have a washer/Dryer and auto Sat. on roof, air horns after market, installed a power awning as the stock one would un-roll traveling down the road. I have 25,000 miles on mine. Low miles could mean it was used as a seasonal rig. Had trouble with the windows fogging, had them repaired in Fla.
  • We put 63,000 miles on our 2005 Suncruiser 37B; it was a great motor home!
  • The 35A is a nice floorplan.

The 2006 Itasca Suncruiser 35A comes standard on the Workhorse W22 22,000# chassis with the Allison 1000 transmission.

An optional chassis was the Workhorse W24 24,000# chassis with the Allison 2100MH transmission.

If at all possible look for this heavy 3 slide motorhome on the optional W24 chassis. You'll get an additional ~2000# of CCC. Plus, the larger capacity Allison 2100MH transmission.

The W24 chassis was an ~$4600 MSRP option in 2006.

Think 7 mpg average with either chassis.

  • Recently traded in a 2006 Itasca Suncruiser 35A, to dealer in Southern CA. The coach has the W24 chassis. Just curious where you looking at the unit. We liked the coach but decided to get a DP. Would recommend the W24 chassis since it is a three slide coach.
