2011 Tiffin Shower wall give.......

Question

We have a 2011 Tiffin Phaeton.The shower has spider cracks in it.A company came to the shop that it is at and sent out by Tiffin and said they couldnt do anything.  The shop it is at said.  Not only the spider cracks but there is a pretty good single crack in it.  My question for Tiffin owners is. The shower longer shower wall is the outside coach wall.  You can push on the wall of the shower and it will push in a quite a bit.  I would think you need SOME give for flexing of the coach.  But it seems quite a bit of give like I said.Something I dont recall in my Monacos.  Just curious if any other Tiffin owners can chime in.ThanksDon

I also have/had shower crack, but dealer seems to have fixed it, not perfect but acceptable. Unless it is extreme it should be able to be ground out carefully and repaired.

Thanks KoKo but do you have a LOT of give on the outside wall?  Almost like no backing at all.  And i understand if ya dont want to push on it.  Just seems like a lot of give on ours.Thanks againDon

We had a 2008 Bus that we put 75,000 miles on and didn't have any problems with the shower and we have not had any issues in the 2013 that we now have 17,000 miles on. Perhaps a bad shower casting or layup. Some parts of the walls without a lot of structural support do flex a lot, but if your shower is anything like my 2, the shower is only fastened to the walls at the edges, so I don't see this as being an issue.

If you can give some of the maintenance supervisors at Tiffin a call, see if they would be willing to replace the shower for you based on the opinion of the professionals that looked at it.

I can even imagine the R&amp;R procedure of damaged shower stall in a assembled MH.It is virtually impossible in many stick homes.
