89 pace arrow

I had a 91 33L pace arrow. first MH. I changed the thermostat to a 180, wired the cooling fans to a switch on the dash, all was good. chevy chassis.

My father-in-law has an 89 Pace Arrow. He has fixed pretty much the same list of stuff. He's got almost 190,000mi on it now. He's been across the states a couple times, across Canada, down to Mexico and up to Alaska.

Had replacement rear springs made (leafs) and it rides well. Replaced the stock exhaust manifolds with long tube headers. GM 454 was problem free once the headers went on.

He just bought a 91 Pace Arrow to replace it (less than 50,000 on the new one).

the vortec big block was mid 90's iirc..

Yeah, Brett it sounds like the OP hasn't seen it yet. One or more of the digits in the VIN will ID the chassis mfg. See if you can get the owner to read you the VIN. There are several web sites that decode the VIN.

Look under the front end. If independent front suspension/A arm suspension, it will be a Chevy.

If solid front axle, it will be a John Deere or Ford.
